Born and bred Londoner, Ciara started playing the violin at the age of 3, later going on to graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music. Since then she has enjoyed a varied career of chamber, orchestral and session playing. She has performed on stages ranging from the Royal Albert Hall to Twickenham Stadium and at festivals from Edinburgh Fringe to Glastonbury.
Ciara has toured, performed and recorded with a number of artists including Beyonce, George Michael, Bastille and Damon Albarn. She also provides backing vocals for artists including Calum Scott, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Roddy Frame and Jasmine Thompson.
Alongside performing Ciara is a Musical Director and arranges and provides strings for recordings, live performances and collaborations under Bolt Strings. She has worked with artists including Sigrid, Bastille, Jess Glynne and Calum Scott.
Ciara was the violinist in the West End production of The Girls at the Phoenix Theatre and Annie at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Ciara is currently working with Damon Albarn, performing music from his album ‘The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows’.
